On April 3, 2026, as part of a field class in the discipline “Environmental Design”, students of educational programs of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education visited the tile and plumbing store “AGROMAT”. The students were accompanied by teachers of the discipline “Environmental Design” - Oleksandra Shmelyova-Nesterenko, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, Violetta Semenchenko, Assistant Professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, as well as Yana Krukivska, guest lecturer of the department, interior designer.

The visit was a valuable opportunity for students to deepen their practical knowledge of finishing materials and plumbing, which are widely used in modern interior design. Participants were introduced to the product range, current solutions for residential and commercial spaces, as well as the principles of selecting materials and equipment for different types of interiors.

During the meeting, Kateryna Zhumenko, “AGROMAT” manager, a graduate of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design in 2010, told students about plumbing and sanitary ware, drawing attention to the peculiarities of selection and installation, as well as important practical nuances that must be taken into account when developing design projects.

Yana Krukivska, a guest lecturer at the department and a practicing interior designer, shared with the students her experience of professional interaction with partners and contractors in the process of implementing design projects. She paid special attention to the peculiarities of working with ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware, spoke about the criteria for choosing these materials, the specifics of their use in the interior, and also shared professional recommendations useful for the future professional practice of students.

Students and teachers were warmly welcomed by Lyudmila Kovtunenko, director of the “AGROMAT” branch on Bulakhovskogo St., who gladly introduced the guests to the work of the branch and helped create an open, friendly, and professional atmosphere during the meeting.

Such field training sessions are an important component of professional training, as they allow you to combine theoretical knowledge with real examples from practice, get acquainted with a modern range of materials and equipment, and also communicate directly with representatives of the professional environment.

We sincerely thank the AGROMAT team for the warm welcome, openness, meaningful meeting and willingness to share professional experience with students. We wish the company further development, successful activities, new achievements and grateful partners and clients!
