From March 18 to 20, 2026 Students of the educational programs “Environmental Design” of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education, together with teachers of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, visited the Kyiv International Furniture Forum (KIFF) , which was traditionally held at the International Exhibition Center .

Attending the forum was a great opportunity for future designers to get acquainted with current trends in furniture design and production, to explore a wide range of furniture products, materials, fittings, and components presented by both domestic and international manufacturers.

During their visit to the exhibition, students had the opportunity to see new technologies, innovative solutions, and design approaches to the formation of modern residential and commercial space. Special attention was paid to studying the features of constructive solutions, quality of materials, ergonomics, and current stylistic trends in furniture design.

Attending the forum also contributed to establishing professional contacts and live communication with manufacturers, designers, and representatives of the furniture business.

During the forum, students also attended panel discussions, including “From Concept to Comfort: Professional Criteria for Evaluating Architectural Solutions and Interior Spaces,” where one of the speakers was Svitlana Ostapyk, assistant professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, designer, founder of the TSVIT studio.

The knowledge and impressions gained during the event will be useful to students during the educational process, performing practical tasks and qualifying work, and will also become inspiration for future creative pursuits in the field of environmental and furniture design.
