On April 21, 2026, as part of the Week of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, a competition on engineering 3D modeling in the SolidWorks environment was held, organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

The competition was opened by Igor Panasiuk, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies. He emphasized the importance of developing modern engineering competencies, practical design skills and the use of digital technologies in the professional training of students.

Holding such a competition was a good opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge, practical skills and creative approach to solving engineering problems using modern computer-aided design systems. Participants had the opportunity to prove themselves in the field of three-dimensional modeling. Demonstrate their level of proficiency in SolidWorks software. Completing the tasks required students to be attentive, spatial thinking, and able to work quickly.

The competition brought together students interested in modern engineering technologies, design, and computer modeling. By completing the competition tasks, the participants showed the appropriate level of training, perseverance, responsibility, and a desire for professional improvement. Such activities contribute to the development of technical competencies of students, deepening their practical skills, and forming an interest in engineering activities.

According to the results of the competition, the winners were:

1st place - Valeria Fomina, group BMB1-23;

2nd place - Kristina Kalinina, group BIP1-22;

3rd place - Artem Sashchuk, group BPM1-23.
