On April 23, 2026, a lecture was delivered for students majoring in “Chemical Technologies and Engineering” and “Environmental Protection Technologies” by a practitioner and a 2009 graduate of KNUTD, Kostiantyn Hlazkov. The lecture was titled “Lean Manufacturing: Modern Challenges and Practical Solutions.” The event was held as part of the activities of @KAFCIA – KAIZEN™ Association for Continuous Improvement Awareness, Kaizen Institute Ukraine.

The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of Kaizen-based lean manufacturing principles among future professionals, entrepreneurs, and researchers. Lean manufacturing is not only about saving resources and improving production efficiency; it is also about fostering a culture of continuous improvement in Ukraine.

Our students and faculty demonstrated openness to modern approaches, flexibility in thinking, and readiness for change. During the lecture, Kostiantyn Hlazkov answered questions and shared his practical experience in the field of Kaizen-based lean manufacturing.
