The professional activities of the faculty at the Department of Performing Arts and Culture of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) continue to integrate deeply into Ukraine's contemporary theatrical process. On May 2, 2026, Vitaliy Kino, a senior lecturer at the department and professional director, served on the expert jury for the Open Theater Festival-Competition "Theatrical Sails" in the village of Ivankovychi. Participation in such forums is a vital component of the department's scientific and methodological work, allowing for the monitoring of modern stage practices and the identification of potential future applicants.

In evaluating the creative achievements of the youth ensembles, Vitaliy Kino noted the high level of preparation among participants and the professional dedication of studio directors who continue to develop theatrical art under challenging contemporary conditions. According to the master, it is within these creative hubs that national culture is preserved and a new generation of Ukrainians is nurtured, lending a profound social significance to the work of the specialist-educator. Collaborative efforts between experienced masters and beginners ensure the continuity of academic traditions and promote the popularization of professional arts education.
Following the competition program, Grand Prix honors were awarded to the productions "The Little Prince" and "Mavka," both of which demonstrated exceptional levels of directorial and acting execution. For his significant contribution to the expert council, as well as his professionalism and objectivity in assessment, Vitaliy Kino was awarded a diploma by the festival organizers — the Ivankovychi School of Arts and the Department of Humanitarian Development of the Feodosiivska Village Council. Such active engagement by KNUTD faculty reaffirms the department's status as a leading center of professional expertise in the field of performing arts.
