RESULTS OF THE SOCIAL POSTER COMPETITION "MENTAL HEALTH 2026"

The Department of Graphic Design of the KNUTD, within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Topical Issues of Modern Design", held a social poster competition "MENTAL HEALTH", in which students from Ukraine, Moldova, Latvia participated. The initiative is aimed at supporting the mental health of Ukrainians and is part of the all-Ukrainian program "How are you?", launched by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.

On April 6, 2026, the results were summed up and the winners of the competition were determined. The head of the competition jury was Yevhen Gula, artist, professor of the Department of Graphic Design of the KNUTD. The jury also included: Liliia Zhuravel-Zmieieva, head of the Department of Graphic Design; Nataliia Chuprina, professor, head of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, guarantor of the EP "Graphic Design; Oleksandr Vasyliev, senior lecturer of the Department of Graphic Design; Rada Mykhailova, professor of the Department of Graphic Design; Sviatoslav Podlevsky, artist, associate professor of the Department of Graphic Design and others.

The competition was open to original social posters made in any technique using modern graphic tools. The competition aroused considerable interest among young designers: over 200 works from various educational institutions in Ukraine, Moldova and Latvia were submitted for consideration by the jury. In the conditions of a full-scale war in Ukraine, the topic of psychological support is becoming particularly relevant, which led to the high activity of the participants.

The competition was curated by Liliia Zhuravel-Zmieieva, Doctor of Philosophy, Head of the Department of Graphic Design, member of the Union of Designers of Ukraine, and Oleksandr Vasyliev, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Graphic Design of the KNUTD, member of the Union of Designers of Ukraine.

The winners were determined in the following nominations: “Best compositional solution”, “Best color solution”, “Best ideological and content solution”, “Creative approach”, “Best design solution”, “Original solution”. Information about the winners of the competition is available at the link.
