The Faculty of Design of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design is taking an active part in the international event “Ukrainian Design and Innovation Week (UDIW)” for the fifth time. KNUTD teachers and students are always involved in the project events: they hold open lectures, participate in discussions, visit specialized exhibitions, present design developments of the Faculty of Design at exhibitions, etc.
On May 6, 2026, as part of the event “Design Week at KNUTD”, Liliia Zhuravel-Zmieieva, Head of the Department of Graphic Design, Doctor of Philosophy, gave a lecture on the topic “Modern Trends in Poster Design: From Static Graphics to Interactive Media”.


During the lecture, Liliia Sergyiivna considered the main trends in graphic poster design and characterized their visual features. Particular attention was paid to the influence of digital technologies and artificial intelligence tools on the formation of new approaches to creating posters, their dynamics, and interactivity. The lecturer accompanied each of the considered trends with current examples of posters and billboards, which allowed the audience to better understand the practical implementation of theoretical provisions.


Special attention was paid to graphic techniques and means of poster creation, compositional principles of visual space organization, as well as the features of using font groups as an important tool for forming content and emotional impact. The lecturer substantiated the origin of trends, their essential foundations and reasons for relevance. The meeting was joined by more than 30 listeners, including UDIW participants, teachers and students of KNUTD and other educational institutions of Ukraine.


The lecture received positive feedback from the audience, who noted its relevance, content, and high level of presentation of the material.
