International cooperation of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design today is a lively dialogue in the European community, strategic values and a vision of the future.
On May 4–5, 2026, the vice-rector for scientific and international cooperation, prof. Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, and the head of the snternational institute of postgraduate and doctoral studies, assoc. prof. Svitlana Arabuli, presented our university as an integral part of the European innovative knowledge ecosystem at the meeting of partners of the Q-HELIX alliance of European universities, which took place in the walls of the hospitable University of Prešov UNIPO (Slovak Republic).
Q-Helix European University Alliance is an alliance of 11 leading universities from 10 European countries that jointly developed the international project “Q-Helix — The Inclusive European University guided by the Quintuple Helix Compass” within the framework of the European Commission’s competition — European Universities Initiative.
Together with partners, in a rich program of meetings, they step by step strategized and formed new project initiatives for applicants, teachers and researchers of the university for the period 2026-2027. They discussed the education of the future: from the innovative COIL format and micro-qualifications to large-scale research initiatives within the Horizon Europe program.
A number of programs for scientific and academic mobility, internships and joint scientific schools have been formed, and joint international partnership programs have been developed, which once again confirmed that the boundaries in the modern academic world are becoming increasingly transparent for Ukrainian universities.
Special thanks to Akademia WSB - WSB University as the coordinator of the NAWA «Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej project», in particular Ewelina Widerska and Joanna Kurowska-Pysz, for their leadership and development of the common goals of the Q-Helix alliance.
