It has already become a tradition at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design to hold a «Job Fair» in the spring. On May 5th , 2026, a fruitful discussion of the IV platform «Creative Design Global Career Pathways» took place, the organizers of which were the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries and the Faculty of Design.
The platform was moderated by Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, and Iryna Trusova, Dean of the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries.
The speakers of the platform were specialists, stakeholders, employers and partners.
Svitlana Ostapyk, being the designer, owner of the interior and furniture design studio "TSVIT", underlined vectors which are helpful in getting a job in the field of design and the requirements for professional qualifications of a modern designer.
She emphasized on the importance of students’ internships and projects’ implementation (oriented on the portfolio’s creation) during their studies at the university
Nataliia Sentemon, Deputy General Director for Scientific Work of the National Center of Folk Culture "Ivan Honchar Museum", introduced modern vacancies that are offered today in the museum sector for the students
Bohdan Kass, designer, entrepreneur, founder of the KASS brand, owner of the KASS garment factory, represented his own path to forming a professional career. As a graduate of the KNUTD, he advised students to make the most of their student years for learning and development.
Daryna Yakymenko, a graphic designer in the merchandising department of the furniture company VIYAR, gave a report on the topic "Who is a successful designer?", in which she highlighted relevant and useful tips for creating a resume and portfolio.
The story of Olga Frasyniuk, Deputy Director General for Scientific Work of the National Museum of Decorative Arts of Ukraine, was interesting. Ms. Olga highlighted modern directions of museum work and prospects for employment in this field.
Olga Vernyhorenko, the leading presenter of the live broadcasts of the main editorial office of cultural and educational programs of the TO "Radio Culture", the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine, provided valuable advice to future cultural scientists.
Liudmyla Vasylchenko, a methodologist of the highest category, and Iryna Slipets, deputy director for educational work of the Palace of Children and Youth Creativity (Brovary), revealed aspects about employment in the field of education. They emphasized the importance of social work and offered current vacancies to KNUTD students.
Veronika Sinchuk, HR leader of the game development company RetroStyleGame, underlined the company's work areas, invited students of KNUTD to practice and work.
"Job Fair" is an event that helps strengthen ties between the academic environment and the professional community, reveals new horizons of professional realization for higher education applicants and helps future specialists to directly familiarize themselves with the current demands of the modern labor market.
Students of the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries and the Faculty of Design received valuable advice from employers on employment and building a successful career in design, the entertainment industry, education, and the museum sector.
