In the spring of 2026, students from the Faculty of Design KNUTD participated in and won the qualifying work competition for the student festival "SPRING DESIGN FEST." The competition was organized by the Design Department of the Kyiv State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design named after Mykhailo Boychuk.

The event aims to encourage talented young people to engage in research work, exchange experiences, and share best practices in completing qualifying work used in the preparation of students in the B2 "Design" specialty.

KNUTD students won prizes in the competition of scientific and didactic works in the specialty "Design" for the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education in the categories of "Graphic Design", "Environmental Design", "Multimedia Design" and "Fashion Design" as well as in the student creative competition "Industrial Design of Household Objects". This success is proof of the high quality of knowledge provided by our university.

Alina Bader, supervisors – Ihor ANTONENKO, senior lecturer, Olena VYSHNEVSKA, associate professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design. The work is presented in the nomination “Environmental Design” and is dedicated to the creation of the interior of a sports and recreation complex.

Anna Kotenko, supervisor – Maryna YATSENKO, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Art and Fashion Design. The work is presented in the nomination "Fashion Design" and is aimed at developing women's clothing using elements of the Art Deco costume style of the 1920s.

Nikita Khairulin, supervisor – Oleksandr VASYLIEV, Doctor of Philosophy, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Graphic Design. The work is presented in the category “Graphic Design” and is aimed at developing a corporate identity for the “AUTOORIGINAL” stores.

Anastasiia Duhota, supervisors – Ihor ANTONENKO, senior lecturer, Olena VYSHNEVSKA, associate professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design. The work is presented in the nomination “Environmental Design” and is aimed at developing the interior of a center for social and psychological assistance to war victims.

Daryna Zhogalko, supervisors – Ihor ANTONENKO, senior lecturer, Olena VYSHNEVSKA, associate professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design. The work is presented in the nomination “Environmental Design” and is aimed at designing the interior of modular housing for displaced persons.

Anastasiia Kalian, supervisor – Liudmyla MELNYK, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Art and Fashion Design. The work is presented in the nomination "Fashion Design" and is aimed at developing a collection of women's clothing using upcycling techniques.

Iryna Abramova, supervisor – Tetyana BULGAKOVA, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design. The work is presented in the nomination “Environmental Design” and is dedicated to the renovation of a transport infrastructure facility using biophilic design tools.

Dariia Kotelnikova, supervisor – Oleksandra SHMELIOVA-NESTERENKO, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design. The work is presented in the nomination "Environmental Design" and is dedicated to the interior design of an inclusive resource center.

Viacheslav Rukavishnikov, supervisor – Tetyana BULGAKOVA, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design. The work is presented in the nomination “Landscape Design of the Environment” and is dedicated to the design of an environment for human-animal interaction using ecological design tools.
