On 26–28 May 2026, students specialising in Applied Physics and Nanomaterials took part in the 22nd International Specialised Exhibition ‘Protection Technologies/Fire Safety’ on the platform of the partners of the NGO ‘Association of Civil Protection Specialists’.

During the event, they presented their own developments and projects aimed at improving safety in emergency situations, enhancing protective equipment and implementing modern technological solutions. The exhibition was coordinated by Irina Oleynikova, Head of the Department of Applied Physics and Higher Mathematics.

The works on display attracted considerable interest among exhibition visitors and industry experts. This exchange, conducted in the form of a professional dialogue, provided an opportunity for the students’ professional development, helped to promote the department’s academic achievements, and fostered collaboration between the educational sector, academia and the practical field of civil protection.
Participation in such events contributes to the development of students’ professional competencies, the promotion of scientific research and the formation of practical skills necessary for addressing current challenges in the field of civil protection and public safety.
