On May 15, 2026, on the occasion of Science Day and within the framework of Science Week at KNUTD - 2026, the round table “Erasmus+ InnovaTex Project: New Approaches to the Development of Educational Content for the Training of Textile and Fashion Industry Specialists” was held at the Faculty of Design.
The round table was organized by the Erasmus+ InnovaTex project implementers from KNUTD: Kalyna Pashkevych, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Olena Gerasymenko, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD, as well as partners from Kherson National Technical University: Olena Chepeliuk, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor, Rector, Mariia Artemenko, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor, First Vice-Rector, Larysa Ponomarenko, Acting Head of the Department for Educational and Scientific Work and International Activities. The event was moderated by Olena Gerasymenko.
Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Activities of KNUTD Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, Rector of KNTU Olena Chepeliuk, and Dean of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD Kalyna Pashkevych congratulated the scientists present on Science Day and wished them new successful scientific projects and expanding the horizons of cooperation with foreign partners.
The purpose of the roundtable was to discuss the components of the modules and topics of the electronic resource, which is being developed by scientists from 5 countries (Romania, Italy, Greece, Moldova, Ukraine) within the framework of the Erasmus+ project "Innovation in Smart and Digital VET Skills for Advanced Textile Industry" (InnovaTex).
Participants of the Erasmus+ InnovaTex project, representatives of higher education institutions and industry experts discussed the implementation of the third work package of the project, dedicated to the creation of a modern electronic textbook for the training of future specialists in the textile and fashion industries. The project executors from KNUTD took an active part in the discussion: Olga Yezhova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Graphic Design, Nataliia Chuprina, Doctor of Arts, Professor, Head of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, Liudmyla Melnyk, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof., Associate Professor of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, from KNTU Mariia Rastorgueva, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Integrated Technologies; as well as invited colleagues - Anastasiia Veklich, designer of the company "Advertising Textiles", Valeria Zmuliukova, regional manager of LLC "LEGIO" and Oleg Akimchenkov, Kherson entrepreneur, owner of a network of salons-ateliers.
Cooperation within the framework of international Erasmus+ projects opens up new opportunities for the development of modern design education, updating educational content and strengthening interaction between education, science and industry.
