On May 20-22, 2026, the third general offline meeting of project implementers took place Erasmus + «Innovation in Smart and Digital VET Skills for Advanced Textile Industry» (InnovaTex) in Athens, Greece (University of West Attica) regarding the further implementation of the project and the features of the implementation of work packages.

Representatives of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Olena Gerasymenko, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD, as well as partners from Kherson National Technical University: Olena Chepelyuk, Rector, Maria Artemenko, First Vice-Rector, Larysa Ponomarenko, Director of the International Department, took an active part in the discussion.

Olena Gerasymenko made a report on the creation of Smart laboratories in Ukraine, in particular, that the institutions of KNUTD and KNTU have already purchased and installed modern equipment – 4 powerful laptops, 2 multimedia projectors and licensed software CAD/ LAY.Assyst and Style3D Studio. In addition, the partners were presented with the results of discussing the content of the initial modules with representatives of business, fashion industry clusters, public organizations and academic institutions from Ukraine and Moldova, since improving the digital skills of students and employees of the fashion and textile industries of these countries is the goal of the project.


The meeting was moderated by Georgios Priniotakis and Ioannis Chronis , representatives of the University of Western Attica, who are teaming up with Elena Gyalinou and other representatives of the institution organized a meeting at a high professional level. The main focus of the meeting was the discussion and distribution of topics for the electronic educational platform among the project participants – scientists from Romania, Greece, Moldova, Ukraine and Italy.
Also, comprehensive support for the meeting participants was provided by colleagues Dimosthenis Papakonstantinou, Maya Dimitriadou , and Evdokia-Dimitra Tsakalou from another partner institution in Greece, the non profit company Creative Thinking Development – CRETHIDEV, and project coordinator Raluca Maria Aileni from the National Research Institute of Textiles and Leather (Romania).
