On May 27, 2026, a meeting of KNUTD students and teachers with the famous Ukrainian painter, graphic artist and book illustrator Matvii Vaisberg took place on the topic "Ukrainian Art: Known and Unknown."

Matviy Vaisberg told the students about the work of famous Ukrainian artists of the 20th century: Kazimir Malevich, Volodymyr Tatlin, Mykhailo Boychuk, and others. The artist also shared with the students his biography and stages of creative activity.

The lecture was attended by students from the Faculty of Design and the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries – future designers and specialists in the field of fine arts, so the meeting was extremely useful and inspiring for them.

Matviy Vaisberg is a member of the All-Ukrainian Creative Union of Artists “BZH-ART”, the author of illustrations for the works of famous poets and writers, one of the founders of the “Kyiv Rearguard” movement. The artist’s works are presented in numerous personal and group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.

Students were interested in asking the artist questions, asking for advice on his work, and taking autographs as a souvenir.
