In 2024, KNUTD became a member of the European League of Higher Art Education Institutions (ELIA). ELIA - European League of Institutes of the Arts is a leading multidisciplinary European network in the field of higher art education and research. Uniting about 280 members in 54 countries, ELIA represents the interests of over 350,000 students of all art disciplines.

During 2024-2026, KNUTD students and teachers took an active part in the organization's activities: participation in conferences, seminars, workshops organized by ELIA and KNUTD, in the UAx Abakanowicz Fellowship scholarship program, etc.

In 2026, the Memorandum of Understanding between KNUTD and the European League of Higher Art Education Institutions ELIA was extended until 2028!

The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to establish a framework for cooperation between ELIA and KNUTD under the auspices of the UAx 2.0 platform, coordinated by ELIA, for the period 2026–2028.

UAx 2.0 builds on the initial emergency response phase of the UAx platform (2022–2025) and moves towards long-term sustainability, capacity development and equal international partnerships between Ukrainian and international higher art education institutions, as well as strengthening ties with the cultural and creative sectors.

We are proud that KNUTD is a member of the global professional network of higher education institutions. For KNUTD, this includes:

• further promoting Ukraine's integration into European cultural and educational networks;
• opportunities for educators, students, leaders and staff for cooperation and professional exchanges with international partners;
• strengthening sustainable partnerships between Ukrainian and European cultural and educational entities;
• participation in scholarship and mentoring programs, in particular the UAx Abakanowicz Fellowship;
• supporting mutual learning, exchange and joint reflection between institutions;
• participating in large-scale events, online seminars, discussions to expand and deepen knowledge and experience, as well as establish potential partnerships.
