IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SUSWEARTEX PROJECT STAGES THROUGH POPULARIZATION AND INVOLVEMENT OF STUDENTS

In 2026, the “SusWearTex: Baltic Neighbourhood Cooperation in Sustainable Workwear Initiatives - Driving Recycled Fiber Excellence in Workwear Textiles” project will continue to be implemented at the Faculty of Design of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

To promote and broaden the implementation of sustainable development in the textile industry, particularly in workwear production, third-year students in the Fashion Design program at the Faculty of Design were introduced to the principles of responsible design and the circular economy through practical training. Students actively supported the initiative to develop workwear collections that combine aesthetics, functionality, comfort, circularity, and the possibility of using materials containing recycled fibers.

During the work, the students confirmed the presence of a creative approach, a solid theoretical base, and excellent practical skills necessary for the full cycle of development and manufacturing of products in the material.

We hope that such events will help raise environmental awareness among young professionals and lay the foundation for the sustainable development of the fashion industry!

We express our sincere gratitude to the students of the Faculty of Design for their active support of modern initiatives and their desire for innovation!
