On June 12, 2026, on the eve of the professional holiday, the Day of Light Industry Workers, in the Column Hall of the Kyiv City State Administration, the lecturers of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design were presented with certificates of gratitude for many years of conscientious work and high professionalism.
On behalf of the Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Vitaliy Klitschko, Oleg Kuiavsky, Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration for the Exercise of Local Government Powers, addressed the audience, congratulating those present on the Day of Light Industry Workers.
Welcoming words were delivered by Andrii Shevchenko, Vice-President of the Association “Ukrlegprom”, General Director of LLC “V-Center”, who noted that today's light industry in Ukraine is a combination of modern technologies, innovative solutions and high craftsmanship. It is thanks to the hard work of industry specialists that competitive products are created that meet modern requirements.
Oleksandra Olshanska, Doctor in Science of Economics, Professor, Rector of KNUTD, warmly welcomed those present. She noted the significant contribution of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design to the training of personnel for the light industry of Ukraine, because over the more than 90-year history of KNUTD's development, the university's lecturers have trained thousands of specialists for the textile, garment, footwear, fashion, design and production technologies industries.
