SECOND ADVISORY BOARD MEETING OF THE ERASMUS+ INNOVATEX PROJECT

On June 24, 2026, an Advisory Board Meeting of the project Erasmus+ InnovaTex — ERASMUS-EDU-2024-CB-VET "Innovations in the field of smart and digital skills in vocational education for the modern textile industry", which is implemented by scientists from the Faculty of Design, was held online

Kalyna Pashkevych, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD, Olena Chepelyuk, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Rector of KNTU, and from Moldova, Marcela Irovan, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Design of the Technical University of Moldova, addressed the participants of the Advisory Board Meeting with welcoming remarks.

The meeting was attended by members of the InnovaTex project Advisory Board:

Bohdan Kass, designer, entrepreneur, founder of the Factory KASS clothing production (Kyiv);

Iryna Makhinko-Dumih, director of the brand clothing studio "І-CHEF by Irina Makhinko" (Kyiv);

Olena Gerasymenko, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor, KNUTD, informed the members of the Advisory Board about the progress of the project. InnovaTex and presented the Smart Laboratory created in Ukraine with the equipment purchased and installed within the framework of the project implementation (four powerful laptops and two multimedia projectors) and licensed software CAD/ LAY.Assyst and Style3D Studio for product design and visualization. Implementing the project tasks, in January 2026, scientists from the Faculty of Design were trained in the CAD/ LAY.Assyst program based on the Smart Laboratory and using the purchased equipment and software.

Mariia Artemenko told the participants of the Advisory Board Meeting about the events held at the Smart Laboratory at KNTU, in particular about the organized roundtable on the development of educational materials for the project.

Project participants InnovaTex from Romania, Greece, Italy, Ukraine and Moldova is developing an electronic educational platform and training modules to strengthen the capacity of stakeholders in the fashion industry, including the textile industry, in particular for training students of educational institutions, industry workers and all stakeholders.

Project implementers from Moldova Elena Florea-Burduja, PhD, Technical University of Moldova (Chisinau, Moldova) and Aliona Raru, PhD, Technical University of Moldova (Chisinau, Moldova) presented the Smart Laboratory created in Moldova and talked about the challenges they faced when purchasing and installing equipment.

Lyudmya Nazarchuk, speaking on behalf of the advisory board , emphasized the high level of project implementation and expressed a positive assessment, emphasizing the importance of synergy between education, science, and business for digital transformation and compliance with the requirements of the European labor market.

Svitlana Kuleshova supported the project team InnovaTex, noting that they are moving in the right direction, have significant achievements, and are implementing the plan.

Business representatives also positively assessed the interim results of the InnovaTex project. Olga Ostapchuk approved the purchased equipment and software and emphasized that such tools are of great importance for the development of young professionals.

They also expressed their impressions about the progress of the project implementation. InnovaTex Advisory Board members Larisa Bugaian, Director of the Erasmus Center of the Technical University of Moldova, Maria Georgitsa, PhD, Professor, Technical University of Moldova, and Elena Statnic, Vice-Director, College of Light Industry, Balti (Moldova).

According to the results of the meeting, members of the Advisory Board noted that the implementation of the international project InnovaTex is on schedule, smart labs are being successfully launched in Ukraine and Moldova, and cooperation between vocational and higher education institutions and fashion industry enterprises, including the textile industry, is improving.
