On June 26, 2026, the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) hosted the defense of qualification theses of applicants for the second (master's) level of higher education in the specialty 226 Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy. This year, two master's students completed their studies and successfully completed and defended their works. In particular, Vladyslav ZAIETS presented a study on the topic "Development of a pharmaceutical composition in the form of a gel for the treatment of inflammatory processes of the mucous membranes" (scientific supervisor – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Volodymyr BESSARABOV), and Oleksandr PETRENKO – a work on the topic "Development of the composition and technology of a combined nasal spray with nitrofural and dexpanthenol" (scientific supervisor – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Galyna KUZMINA).
The qualifying works were evaluated by the examination commission, headed by Svitlana GUREIEVA, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Technological Development Department of the Research and Development Department of JSC Farmak. The commission noted the high level of training of the master's students, thorough knowledge of modern approaches to pharmaceutical development, skills in conducting scientific research, analysis and interpretation of the results obtained, as well as the ability to professionally and convincingly present their own scientific achievements. Both works were noted for their relevance, scientific novelty and practical value, and their results can serve as a basis for further improvement of technologies for the development of modern medicines.
This master's degree is of particular importance for the Department of Industrial Pharmacy, as these are the first graduates who, based on the results of successfully passing the KROK-1 and KROK-2 licensing integrated exams, passing the final certification, and fulfilling all the requirements of the educational program, were awarded the professional qualification "Industrial Pharmacist" simultaneously with the master's degree.
The award of professional qualifications was carried out on the basis of the “Procedure for Awarding Professional Qualifications to Applicants of the Second (Master’s) Level of Higher Education in the Specialty I8 Pharmacy (by Specialization) / 226 Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy in the Specialty I8.02 Industrial Pharmacy / 226.02 Industrial Pharmacy of the Educational Program Industrial Pharmacy” developed by the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of the KNUTD. The procedure provides for a systematic assessment of the compliance of the applicants’ learning outcomes with the requirements of the Higher Education Standard and the professional standard “Industrial Pharmacist”. The implementation of this mechanism is an important step in the training of highly qualified specialists whose competencies fully meet the modern needs of the pharmaceutical industry and the labor market.
