In June of the 2025–2026 academic year, the Department of Philology and Translation at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design conducted the attestation of first (bachelor’s) level students enrolled in the Educational and Professional Programme “English Language: Translation in Business Communication”. The attestation examination took place on 17, 19, and 22 June 2026.
The attestation was carried out in accordance with the approved programme of the attestation examination and aimed at comprehensively assessing the level of general and professional competences acquired by students, which are necessary for professional activity in the field of written and oral translation, as well as intercultural and business communication.

The attestation examination consisted of theoretical and practical components. Particular attention was paid to assessing students’ professional translation competences. The practical written component of the examination was conducted using the modern professional computer-assisted translation platform Smartcat, which enabled students to demonstrate their skills in using digital technologies and tools widely applied in contemporary translation practice.
During the attestation, students demonstrated an appropriate level of English language proficiency, knowledge of translation studies theory, and practical skills in written and oral translation in the field of business communication. Graduates successfully completed tasks related to translation, text analysis, and editing, and confirmed their readiness for professional activity in the context of the modern international communicative environment.
