CONGRATULATIONS TO THE STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF DESIGN – WINNERS OF THE UAX ABAKANOWICZ FELLOWSHIP 2026!

For the second year in a row, students of the Faculty of Design of the KNUTD have become winners of the selection for the UAx Abakanowicz Fellowship scholarship, which was introduced by the Abakanowicz Charitable Foundation (AACCF), the European League of Art Institutions of Higher Education ELIA and the UAx ELIA Platform.

Three KNUTD students won the competition for students of Ukrainian art institutions to receive the UAx Abakanowicz Fellowship 2026 scholarship. The selection was carried out by an international independent jury consisting of professionals in the field of art and design.

The main goal of the UAx Abakanowicz Fellowship scholarship program is to provide comprehensive support to students of art specialties from Ukrainian art institutions. The scholarship program consists of three components: a UAx scholarship, UAx mentorship, and the opportunity to participate in the UAx student community.

  • UAx Scholarship

Each student will receive a scholarship of 2,000 euros for the 2026-2027 academic year. These funds are intended to help students meet their immediate financial needs, direct funds to their own development, and enable them to continue their studies in higher education programs in the field of art in Ukraine.

  • UAx Mentorship

The UAx Mentorship Program provides selected scholarship holders with the opportunity to receive mentorship from experienced lecturers from European institutions during the 2026-2027 academic year.

  • UAx Student Community

The UAx ELIA Bureau constantly organizes online events and webinars on topics of interest to the student community. Scholarship students will have the opportunity to participate in these events.

Congratulations to the winners of the selection, students of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD, who received a scholarship!

Kira Ulych, group BDg4-23, educational program "Graphic Design". Actively participates in various creative activities, international COIL projects and other events, develops graphic projects, is passionate about illustration and creating visual concepts, as well as combining traditional artistic techniques with modern digital tools. During 2026-2027 academic year, she will collaborate with mentor Daria Titova from the Estonian Academy of Arts, Estonia.

Victoriia Shevchenko, group BDg2-24, studies in the educational program "Graphic Design". She is fond of traditional and digital drawing, photography and other types of art. She participates in collaborations with artists. Victoria's mentor is Helene Van Loon, LUCA School of Arts, Belgium.

Isaieva Oleksandra, group BDo2-25, educational program "Fashion Design". Dreams of becoming a costume designer for theater and cinema, develops skills for this through her hobby. Is engaged in cosplay, makes costumes and props herself. Mentor - Salomé Nobel, University of the Arts in Utrecht, the Netherlands. 

Last year's UAx Abakanowicz Fellowship 2025 fellows Liliia Kalita, group BDg3-22, Sofiia Voropai, group BDm3-24, Vladyslava Zarubaieva, group BDm2-23, Jayden Terletsky, BDm3-23, Daria Andriienko, group BDo2-22, Ilya Mozgovy, group BDo2-22 have already completed the program and received certificates.
