On July 23, 2026, the KNUTD took part in an open online meeting of the “Twinning Ukraine” team, dedicated to summing up the results of the 2025/26 academic year and discussing the priorities of the program for 2026/27.
At the beginning of the meeting, Charles Cormack, founder and chairman of the board of Cormack Consultancy Group, delivered a welcoming speech.
Denis Kurbatov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, spoke about the current priorities for the development of science and innovation in Ukraine.

Oleksandr Smyrnov, Director of the Twinning Project for Ukraine at CCG, presented the results of the Twinning Ukraine program for the past academic year, in particular the achievements of projects supported under the competition «Seed Funding for Research Excellence» aimed at strengthening the participation of Ukrainian researchers in the Horizon Europe program, and also spoke about the program's plans for the 2026/27 academic year, new opportunities for cooperation within the framework of Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe. The KNUTD team, together with partners from Birmingham City University (Great Britain), also applied for the Seed Funding for Research Excellence competition.



Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design has been participating in the «UKRAINE TWINNING INITIATIVE» project since 2022. During 2022-2026, there was fruitful international cooperation between partner institutions: joint participation in scientific conferences, exchange of experience, lectures by invited professors, submission of applications for grant support of joint scientific projects, etc.
We continue to work for the development of international academic cooperation between Ukraine and Great Britain within the framework of the Twinning initiative!
