THE FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STAFF WELCOMES FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

August 25, 2026 at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies was dedicated to first-year students.

During the long break, first-year students met with the leadership of the university, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, teachers, supervisors, representatives of the student government and the trade union.

The event was opened by Igor Panasiuk, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies. The first-year students were addressed by: Olena Gryhorevska, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Activities (Educational Activities) and Volodymyr Statsenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Activities. The vice-rectors congratulated the first-year students on their successful entry into the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, thanked them for their conscious choice of high-quality education at KNUTD, and wished them success in their studies.

The dean of the faculty introduced the heads of the departments of the faculty: Vladyslava Skidan - Department of Information and Computer Technologies, Dmitro Statsenko - Department of Computer Engineering and Electromechanics, Mark Zalyubovsky - Department of Mechanical Engineering. He introduced those present to the deputy deans Svitlana Demishonkova, Volodymyr Dvorzhak, Nataliya Chuprynka, and methodologists of the dean's office.

The heads of departments spoke about the powerful teaching staff and introduced the curators of academic groups.

Important information was provided by Anastasia Lyhopud, Acting Chairman of the Student Council of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, and Anna Zavgorodnyeva, Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee of the faculty. They talked about the events planned at KNUTD during the year, opportunities for self-development and protection of students' rights.

The dean of the faculty spoke about security measures at the university during the announcement of an air raid alert.

The meeting was held in a friendly, positive atmosphere. The freshmen received useful information, met future mentors and felt the support that will help them successfully begin their journey within the walls of KNUTD.

We sincerely wish the freshmen good luck, inspiration, creativity and imagination!
