SUCCESSFUL DEFENSE OF THE DISSERTATION OF GENNADY VITALIYOVYCH KRUGLYAK FOR THE DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN SPECIALTY 141 ELECTRIC POWER, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND ELECTROMECHANICS

On August 27, 2026, at a meeting of the one-time specialized academic council PhD15399 at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD), the defense of the dissertation of Gennady Kruglyak for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 141 Electric Power, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics took place.

The dissertation on the topic: "Increasing the level of photovoltaic energy consumption in the power supply system of a local facility" was completed at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design at the Department of Computer Engineering and Electromechanics.

The dissertation work of G. Kruglyak is devoted to the improvement of a hybrid photovoltaic system for the needs of a local facility by increasing the degree of use of photovoltaic energy for consumption in the case of forecast control of photovoltaic generation and increasing the energy productivity of the photovoltaic array in conditions of partial shading.

During the research, the postgraduate student analyzed existing solutions for increasing the efficiency of hybrid photovoltaic power plants. The control of the photovoltaic system with load switching to the network at certain time intervals and changing the algorithm according to the forecast was developed, which provides the possibility of reducing electricity costs. The mechanism for implementing control in the case of using a software and hardware complex together with a standard hybrid inverter was substantiated. The recommended load scenario with power reduction in the evening hours is justified. An algorithm for determining parameters and a control scenario with the formation of the battery charge state according to the PV generation forecast has been developed.
