CONCEPTUAL DIMENSION OF THE WORKS

Kateryna Dannyk, Associate Professor at the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, participated in the All-Ukrainian contemporary art exhibition "Practices CONTEMPORARY 4.0."

The All-Ukrainian contemporary art exhibition "Practices CONTEMPORARY 4.0" was held at the Dnipro House of Arts from July 30 to August 28, 2026. Kateryna Oleksandrivna Dannyk a Candidate of Culturology and Associate Professor at the Department of Performing Arts and Culture at KNUTD was an active participant in the exhibition.

The exhibition featured two paintings by the artist, executed in a dark surrealist aesthetic with deep philosophical and culturological undertones:

"The Labyrinth of the Heart": a composition that draws upon the Ukrainian philosophical tradition of *kordocentryzm* (heart-centrism) and the ideas of Hryhorii Skovoroda. An anatomical heart serves as the central image, from which a gilded fragment emerges, while an all-seeing eye watches from above. The work combines textured materials, gold leaf, and striking crimson droplets, creating an atmosphere that is simultaneously sacred and dramatic reminiscent of a reliquary.

"The Origin of the Gaze: A Biomorphic Study": a biomorphic exploration of human perception, corporeality, and the phenomenon of the gaze. The artist investigates the concept of "observation" and the inner memory of matter, intertwining organic forms with an atmosphere of decadence.
