PARTICIPATION OF A KNUTD REPRESENTATIVE IN CREATIVE SKILLS WEEK 2026

On behalf of the Oleksandra Olshanska, Rector of KNUTD, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, represented the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design at the Creative Skills Week 2026 events in Brussels, Belgium, from September 7 to 9, 2026. 

The Creative Skills Week program was packed with events, including workshops, lectures, and discussions where participants from educational institutions across various countries shared best practices in teaching art students and discussed pressing issues in art education, as well as contemporary trends and conceptual directions.

Creative Skills Week 2026 (CSW2026) brought together European representatives, policymakers, educators, and industry leaders. A presentation by Georg Häusler, Director for Culture, Creativity and Sport at the European Commission Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC), was particularly interesting.

CREATIVE SKILLS WEEK 2026 Conference Sessions

The event was hosted at the Brussels School of Management (ICHEC) and the LUCA School of Arts (Brussels, Belgium). In addition to KNUTD, Ukraine was represented at the event by the Lviv National Academy of Arts, the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management, and the I. K. Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television.

During the meeting, discussions were held with partner institutions from many countries around the world, and potential areas of cooperation were outlined.

The participation of the KNUTD representative took place with the support of the UaX platform of the European League of Institutes of the Arts (ELIA), of which the KNUTD Faculty of Design has been a member since 2024.
