SUCCESSFUL PhD DISSERTATION DEFENSES IN SPECIALTY 073 MANAGEMENT AT KNUTD
In late August and early September 2026, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design hosted a series of successful dissertation defenses for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of study 07 «Management and Administration”, Specialty 073 «Management».
On 31 August 2026, Oleksandr Shchur defended his dissertation entitled “Mechanism for Innovative Entrepreneurship Development in the Context of Change Management” at the meeting of the Specialized Academic Council PhD 16149.
Academic supervisor – Iryna Hnatenko, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor.
The dissertation examines current theoretical, methodological, and applied aspects of innovative entrepreneurship development in a dynamically changing external environment. It substantiates approaches to developing an appropriate change management mechanism and ensuring the adaptability of entrepreneurial activities.
On 3 September 2026, Vladyslav Shvetsov defended his dissertation entitled «Transformation of Business Models of Economic Entities in the Context of Digitalization of Ukraine’s Economy» at the meeting of the Specialized Academic Council PhD 16116.
Academic supervisor – Andrii Zolkover, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor.
The dissertation provides a scientific substantiation of the transformation processes affecting the business models of economic entities under the influence of economic digitalization. It identifies contemporary directions for their adaptation and development, taking into account technological and structural changes in the economic environment.
On the same day, Hlib Olshanskyi defended his dissertation entitled “Strategic Management of International Corporations in the Context of Global Challenges” at the meeting of the Specialized Academic Council PhD 15976.
Academic supervisor – Alla Kasych, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor.
The dissertation examines the theoretical, methodological, and applied foundations of strategic management of international corporations, systematizes contemporary global challenges, and substantiates managerial approaches to ensuring the resilience and adaptability of corporate strategies in a changing international environment.
Also on 3 September 2026, Kostiantyn Olefirenko defended his dissertation entitled «Strategic Management of Sustainable Development of Industrial Enterprises in the Context of Post-War Recovery» at the meeting of the Specialized Academic Council PhD 16133.
Academic supervisor – Iryna Tarasenko, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor.
The dissertation is devoted to the development of theoretical and methodological foundations and practical approaches to the strategic management of sustainable development of industrial enterprises, taking into account the challenges and priorities of Ukraine’s post-war economic recovery.
The presented dissertations cover key areas of contemporary management research, including innovative entrepreneurship development, digital transformation of business models, strategic management of international corporations, and sustainable development of industrial enterprises.
Following the public defenses and open voting, the Specialized Academic Councils decided to award the candidates the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Specialty 073 «Management».
