PARTICIPATION OF THE FACULTY OF DESIGN IN THE COLLECTIVE ART EXHIBITION "SUNFLOWER: SOLAR REBIRTH"

From September 2 to 9, 2026, faculty members and students from the KNUTD Faculty of Design presented their paintings at the large-scale collective art exhibition "Sunflower: Solar Rebirth" at the Vinnytsia Regional Art Museum.

The exhibition featured prominent Ukrainian artists – members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (NUAU) from Kyiv and the Kyiv region, as well as artists from Vinnytsia and the Vinnytsia region (members of the Vinnytsia regional branch of the NUAU). Also participating were students and faculty from KNUTD, pupils and teachers from Children's School of the Arts No. 9 in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, and young members of the "MaximUM" Children and Youth Development Center in Kyiv.

The exhibition was opened by Alla Horbunova, President of the "Sonyashnyk" International Charitable Foundation; Serhii Komisarov, Honored Journalist of Ukraine and member of the KNUTD Supervisory Board; Liudmyla Larikova, People's Artist of Ukraine; Tamara Markelova, Editor-in-Chief of the national magazine "Zhinka" ("Woman"); and other distinguished guests.

Opening the "Sunflower: Solar Rebirth" exhibition, Mykola Kremeniuk, Director of the Vinnytsia Regional Art Museum, noted: "The 'Sunflower: Solar Rebirth' international festival and exhibition movement, initiated by the "Sonyashnyk" International Charitable Foundation, emerged during a challenging time for Ukraine. Launched by Alla Horbunova and her colleagues and like-minded associates, the project aims to use the language of art to support Ukrainian society during difficult times, promote Ukrainian cultural and artistic values, foster international cultural ties, and nurture the younger generation in a spirit of patriotism, mutual respect, and responsibility for our shared future."

Diverse generations, artistic schools, techniques, and individual perspectives converged within the exhibition space of the Vinnytsia Regional Art Museum – united by an image close and familiar to every Ukrainian. The wondrous sunflower stands as a symbol of resilience and rebirth, a reminder of life’s capacity to sprout and flourish even amidst the most arduous trials.

On September 24, 2026, an award ceremony took place at KNUTD, where exhibition participants received certificates of recognition from the "Sunflower: Solar Rebirth" international festival movement.

Serhii Komisarov expressed his sincere gratitude to Oleksandra Olshanska, Rector of KNUTD, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, for her assistance in organizing the exhibition and for her dedication to supporting and nurturing talented young people.

He presented awards to Oleksandra Olshanska, Rector of KNUTD; Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design; the faculty members participating in the exhibition – Oleksandr Vasyliev, Alla Osadcha, Oksana Maznichenko, and Anastasiia Bazylevska-Voloshyna; as well as Olena Gerasymenko, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Design at KNUTD.

The following students were awarded certificates for their participation in the exhibition: Anastasiia Halytska, Lada Didenko, Anna Zhuk, Daryna Veretilnyk, Mariia Shevchenko, Yulianna Miskiv, Alina Plotnytska, Mariia Shumylo, Anna Kyshenchuk, Anna Chemerys, Anastasiia Melnyk, Oleksandra Oleksiienko, Tetiana Nedzelska, and Oleksandra Us.
