BAVARIAN STATE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UKRAINIAN GRADUATES AND PHD STUDENTS FOR THE 2027/2028 ACADEMIC YEAR
A new call for applications for one-year scholarships funded by the Free State of Bavaria for the 2027/2028 academic year has been announced for graduates of higher education institutions from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
Ukrainian citizens who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to apply through BAYHOST (Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe).
The scholarships are intended to support:
- Master’s degree programmes at higher education institutions in Bavaria;
- PhD studies at higher education institutions in Bavaria;
- a one-year study and/or research stay in Bavaria as part of doctoral studies at a higher education institution in the applicant’s home country.
Funding:
The scholarship amounts to €992 per month.
The one-year scholarship may be extended twice, allowing for a total funding period of up to three years, subject to the applicable eligibility and renewal requirements.
All application documents must be submitted online.
The application deadline for first-time applicants is 1 December 2026.
