KNUTD Coordinates the International Horizon Europe IMPACT-Campus Project

Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) leads an international partnership within the Horizon Europe IMPACT-Campus project under the EIT Higher Education Initiative. As the project coordinator, KNUTD brings together universities and innovation institutions to advance sustainable entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and the practical implementation of research outcomes. This strategic role strengthens the University’s position in the international education and research landscape and creates new opportunities for cooperation between academia, research, and business.
On 5 October 2026, the official opening of IMPACT-Campus 2026 took place at ODTU Teknokent in Ankara, Türkiye. The event began with welcoming remarks by Prof. Oleksandra Olshanska, Doctor of Economics and Rector of KNUTD.

The exchange of experience with international partners helps connect academic and research potential with the needs of the economy and society.
From 5 to 9 October 2026, Ankara is hosting the IMPACT-Campus 2026 International Training Week. The programme is organized by the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye, Middle East Technical University (METU), and ODTU Teknokent.

The International Training Week programme covers five key areas:
- Technology Transfer and Research Commercialization — bringing research and innovation from laboratories to the market with the support of technoparks and innovation ecosystems.
- Inclusive Entrepreneurship — tools and approaches to supporting diverse groups within university innovation ecosystems.
- STEM and Artificial Intelligence in Educational Programmes — integrating design thinking, AI, and creative problem-solving approaches into teaching and learning.
- Cross-Sector Partnerships — developing sustainable models of cooperation between universities, businesses, and the public sector to create solutions with tangible societal impact.
- Project Management and Competence Assessment — applying digital tools for environmental sustainability, agile approaches to startup management, and modern methods for assessing innovation-related competencies.
By coordinating IMPACT-Campus, KNUTD contributes to building an international ecosystem in which universities serve not only as centres of education and research but also as drivers of innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. The project creates opportunities to transform academic knowledge into practical solutions, strengthen international partnerships, and develop new models of cooperation between education, science, business, and the public sector.
