RESEARCHERS AND STUDENTS FROM THE FACULTY OF FASHION AND TECHNOLOGIES OF KNUTD PRESENTED INNOVATIVE RESEARCH AT THE 11TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ICAMS 2026
On October 8–9, 2026, the 11th International Conference on Advanced Materials and Systems (ICAMS 2026) took place online. It was organized by the National Research and Development Institute for Textiles and Leather (INCDTP) – specifically the Leather and Footwear Research Institute (ICPI) division — in Bucharest, Romania. Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) once again served as an official international partner of this prestigious scientific forum.

A delegation of researchers and students from the KNUTD Faculty of Fashion and Technologies actively participated in the conference, presenting papers across key scientific areas.

In the "Advanced Materials and Nanomaterials" section, the Dean of the Faculty of Fashion and Technologies, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Yana Redko, together with Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Nataliia Hudzenko (Germany), presented research titled "Controlled Interfacial Organization of Conductive Coatings on Textile Substrates with Different Surface Morphology." The study focused on the controlled formation of electrically conductive functional coatings for "smart" textiles.
Olha Haranina (Head of the Fashion Technology Department, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor), Yana Redko (Dean of the Faculty of Fashion and Technology, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor), Olha Andreieva (Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor), and Kyrylo Vorobiov (PhD student) presented the results of their research titled "Multilayer Footwear Insoles Based on Antibacterial Textile Materials: Hygienic and Functional Properties," which focused on developing multilayer insoles with enhanced hygienic characteristics.
In the "Innovative Systems and Technologies" section, researchers from the Fashion Technology Department—Associate Professor Liliia Chortenko, Associate Professor Viktoriia Kernesh, and PhD student Nataliia Kuzina – presented a study aimed at optimizing the design of adaptive footwear based on biomechanical analysis, titled "Study of Changes in Foot Morphometric Parameters and Biomechanical Characteristics During Pregnancy for the Optimization of Adaptive Footwear Design."
In the "Ecological Processes & Circular and Neutral Economy" section, researchers Nataliia Pervaia (Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor) and Vasyl Brovchenko (PhD student) presented findings on the modernization of footwear manufacturing based on sustainable fashion principles. The title of their presentation was "Improvement of Footwear Manufacturing Technology Based on Sustainable Fashion Principles."
In the "Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Digitalization" section, Associate Professor Oksana Vodzinska (Department of Fashion Technology), Associate Professor Larysa Bilotska (Department of Fashion and Style), Assistant Svitlana Lozovenko (Department of Fashion and Style), and student Vitalina Stepanets presented a paper titled "Experience of Implementing 3D Clothing Design Technologies in Ukraine." The research was conducted within the framework of the international Erasmus+ project "3D4U" (No. 101128856). The authors summarized the operational experience of the innovative "3D-Hub" at KNUTD and presented empirical results regarding the assessment of digital competencies among students and faculty.

All presented papers will be included in the *ICAMS Conference Proceedings*, which are indexed in leading international scientometric databases such as Scopus and Web of Science.
The participation of faculty and students from the Faculty of Fashion and Technology in international events of this caliber once again confirms KNUTD’s high scientific potential, its leadership within the European Higher Education Area, and the successful integration of innovations and the "Education 4.0" concept into the training of a new generation of specialists.
We sincerely congratulate our colleagues and students on their successful participation in the conference and wish them continued success in their scientific endeavors!
