INVEST WISELY: OPPORTUNITIES, RISKS AND SECURITY — A PRACTICAL PERSPECTIVE ON INVESTING AND CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

On the initiative of the Department of Finance of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, an event entitled “Invest Wisely: Opportunities, Risks and Security” was held as part of World Investor Week, 5–11 October 2026. The event was open to students pursuing degrees in Finance, Banking, Insurance and the Stock Market, students from other specialities at the Faculty of Economics and Management, and all other interested participants.

The event featured Kateryna Mohyla, Head of the Pechersk Branch of PUMB in Kyiv and an employer representative.

During the first part of the meeting, students and Kateryna Mohyla discussed the specific features of investing in real and financial assets, the relationship between returns and risk, and the criteria for selecting investment instruments. Particular attention was paid to investment security, including verifying the reliability of companies and financial advisers, assessing investment terms, and recognising signs of potentially fraudulent investment offers.

The second part of the meeting focused on career opportunities in the banking sector. Kateryna Mohyla outlined career paths at PUMB, the skills and competencies expected of young professionals, opportunities for internships, and employment prospects for students and graduates.

The event combined practical insights into investing with an introduction to career opportunities in banking, while strengthening cooperation between the Department of Finance and employers.
