COOPERATION WITH POSTER POS: MODERN DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN THE TRAINING OF HOSPITALITY PROFESSIONALS

The Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design continues active and fruitful cooperation with Poster POS, a Ukrainian company that develops software solutions for restaurant automation. The partnership aims to strengthen the practical training of students in the specialties J2 Hotel and Restaurant Management and Catering and J3 Tourism and Recreation, as well as to develop skills in using modern digital tools in the restaurant business and hospitality sector.

An important area of cooperation is the integration of the Poster system into the educational process. Using its training features during practical classes and laboratory sessions enables students to combine theoretical knowledge with practical tasks that reflect the day-to-day operations of a food service establishment.

Throughout their studies, students will learn to create digital menus and standardized recipe cards, calculate food costs, manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and analyze sales. Working with the system will also enable them to examine an establishment’s financial performance and make data-informed management decisions.

This approach helps future professionals understand the relationship between service management, production processes, and the financial performance of a restaurant business. Using professional software will foster digital competencies, analytical thinking, and readiness to work in a changing technological environment.

The partnership with Poster is part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to expand cooperation with industry partners and enhance students’ education to meet the needs of the hospitality sector.
