Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic Develop Cooperation in Education, Science and Culture

Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design welcomed Idris Kadyrkulov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine. During his visit, the Ambassador and KNUTD Rector Oleksandra Olshanska explored prospects for developing Ukrainian–Kyrgyz cooperation in education, science and culture, as well as expanding the University’s engagement with Central Asian countries.

A key topic of the meeting was the prospective signing of a memorandum of cooperation between KNUTD and the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine. The document aims to strengthen academic and research ties between the two countries, promote their educational, scientific and cultural achievements, and create a space for intercultural dialogue within the university community.
The memorandum envisages joint conferences, round-table discussions, exhibitions, and events celebrating the culture and science of the Kyrgyz Republic at the University. Other areas of cooperation include supporting academic mobility, internships and exchanges of experience with educational institutions and research organisations in Kyrgyzstan, implementing public education projects, and undertaking joint information and publishing activities.

Particular attention was paid to commemorating distinguished scientists, educators and cultural figures and their contributions to the world’s intellectual heritage. In this context, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine Idris Kadyrkulov and Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Affairs Taliat Bielialov discussed an initiative to create and install a bust on the KNUTD campus. This memorial is intended to become part of the University’s educational and cultural environment, offering an opportunity to learn about the history, prominent figures and heritage of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Cooperation with the Embassy also opens up opportunities for multilateral projects involving diplomatic missions of other countries, particularly those of Central Asia. Bringing together scientific, educational and cultural initiatives provides a foundation for expanding international partnerships, establishing direct links between university communities, and implementing joint projects.
KNUTD continues to develop international ties, bringing partners together around the values of education, science, mutual respect and the preservation of cultural heritage.
