From 22nd to 28th September in Lași (
The main organizer of the conference and the school was Ian Alexandru Ioan Cuza University. Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) was one of an official co-organizer of these important scientific events from Ukraine.
Scientific area covered 12 interdisciplinary topics, such as thin films and nanostructures for modern electronics; materials for energy and environment; magnetic material and spintronics; polymer materials and composites; biomaterials; functional materials; art, science, technology, and others.
The conference and school was attended by experienced and young scientists, PhD-students and Mr.Sc. from nearly 30 countries that submitted more than 300 oral and poster presentations.
Ukrainian delegation was represented by Head of the Department for Electrochemical Power Engineering & Chemistry of the Kiev National University of Technology and Design, Prof.Dr. V. Barsukov (plenary presentation at the conference and lecture at the school);
PhD-student of the same department Ilona Senyk (2 poster presentations);
PhD-student of L.V. Pysarzhevsky Institute of Physical Chemistry of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Olena Ustavytska (2 poster presentations), who graduated from KNUTD;
PhD-student of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University Olena Tynkevych (2 poster presentations); Mr.Sc. of National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" Anna Herman (1 oral presentation).
Ukrainian delegation took an active part in all activities of the conference and the school. Organizing Committee compensated for young scientists from Ukraine costs of accommodation and participation in scientific events through sponsorship contributions.
It is planned publication of papers in the rating international journals. The next conference of this series is scheduled for September 2016.
