The Polish-Ukrainian training center at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design was created on October 15, 2014. The creation of the centre was the result of in-depth cooperation of KNUTD and the Higher School of Management in Warsaw, which became co-founders.
The solemn opening of the center took place with the participation of the Rector of KNUTD Ivan Hryshchenko, the President of the Higher School of Management in Warsaw Stanislav Davidziuk, the Rector of the Higher School of Management in Warsaw Pavlo Charnetski, Vice-rectors of KNUTD, the representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, Advisor of the Ambassador on science Anna Kusma, Deans of KNUTD, Chairs of departments of FEB, teachers and students.
The Centre is aimed at:
- in-depth study of the Polish language, culture, everyday life of the Polish people;
- organization of language training in Poland;
- joint participation in scientific and cultural conferences, projects and programs;
- organization and conducting educational and cultural exchanges between Ukraine and Poland;
- learning opportunities for students such as higher education in Poland under the Double Degree Program;
- assistance in employment in Poland.
The Higher School of Management in Warsaw (Wyższa Szkoła Menedżerska w Warszawie - WSM) was founded in 1995. This is one of the most modern educational institutions in Poland, situated in the unique atmosphere of old Prague. Currently it has more than 6000 students. HSM offers its potential students exceptionally favorable conditions for training in the well-equipped architectural-academic complex with numerous lecture, computer classrooms and laboratories. The implementation of the Double Degree Program is based on obtaining diplomas of both institutions at the same time, especially the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and the Higher School of Management in Warsaw.
An annual international research project "Sustainable development - Scientific debut in 2014” operates on the basis of the Center. The Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design was entitled to be a co-organizer and coordinator.
This experience of education and exchanges significantly expands the worldview of modern youth, forms its mobility and competitiveness, professionalism in the modern labour market, both within Ukraine and abroad.
