On October 20, 2025, on the occasion of the International Day of Intangible Cultural Heritage, students and lecturers of the Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business took part in an important and engaging event — a round table entitled “White-on-White Embroidery and Carpet Weaving of Reshetylivka in the Context of Safeguarding the Living Heritage of Ukraine.”

During the event, participants discussed the uniqueness of traditional Reshetylivka embroidery and carpet weaving as elements of Ukraine’s intangible cultural heritage, their significance in shaping national identity, and the prospects for integrating authentic crafts into modern tourism products.

Participation in the round table deepened students’ understanding of the role of cultural heritage in the development of cultural and creative tourism and heightened awareness of the importance of preserving and promoting traditional crafts amid globalization and crisis-related challenges.

Such events constitute an important component of the club’s academic and educational activities and foster a practical understanding of the ways to ensure the sustainable development of tourism based on Ukraine’s cultural heritage.
