WORK ON THE STARTUP “ACCESS.UA”
Inclusivity as a new standard for tourism in Ukraine, an idea discussed by the club members at a previous meeting, inspired second-year students to launch a socially significant initiative that addresses the industry's current challenges. In particular, Veronika Kyrychenka and Leonila Tkachuk are developing the startup “ACCESS.UA” – an inclusive tourism map and accessibility audit of HoReCa facilities.
The project is aimed at:
- assessing the level of accessibility of hotels, restaurants, and tourist sites for people with disabilities and other mobility-impaired groups;
- creating an open digital accessibility map;
- raising awareness among HoReCa businesses of the principles of universal design;
- promoting the development of inclusive tourism in Ukraine amid ongoing crisis transformations.
Working on ACCESS.UA combines academic approaches, field research, and innovative digital solutions, demonstrating that student startups can have a real social impact. We are proud of the club members' active positions and their contributions to shaping an accessible, barrier-free tourism environment in Ukraine.
