On May 7, 2026, the Department of Tourism, Hotel & Restaurant Business held a meeting of the student scientific club «Cross-cultural management and business communication skills in the hospitality industry» in observance of Science Day 2026. Members of the club joined an inspiring motivational meeting with Angelina Kolobova, an entrepreneur and owner of a café and pastry production workshop.
Angelina presented her personal business case, sharing insights into the development of her business plan, which enabled her to secure grant funding of 250,000 UAH. She focused on the key aspects of entrepreneurial activity, including developing the concept for an establishment, selecting suitable premises, organising production processes, managing teams, and understanding taxation specifics. The practical advice and personal insights she shared provided students with a deeper understanding of the industry.
The event concluded on a pleasant and symbolic note – Angelina presented pastries from her own production, demonstrating the results of her work not only in words but also in practice. It is especially gratifying that Angelina is a third-year student (group BDGR-23) of the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries. We sincerely thank Angelina for her openness and motivation!
