On March 12, 2026, the Department of Philology and Translation of the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries held the first meeting of the scientific club “Vocational Training and Foreign Language Communication” this year.

The topic of the meeting was “Pitching Your Ideas: Entrepreneurial Communication Across Cultures”. The head of the club, Associate Professor Kseniia Kugai, opened the session and emphasized the importance of developing entrepreneurial communication skills in a globalized world.

The participants discussed the specifics of presenting business ideas in an international environment and the role of effective communication when interacting with representatives of different cultures. The key elements of a successful presentation were considered, including clarity of argumentation, persuasiveness of delivery, and consideration of the audience’s cultural background.

Students prepared short presentations of their own business ideas and attempted to present them in English using the main principles of entrepreneurial communication. During the discussion, participants highlighted the importance of linguistic accuracy, non-verbal communication, and public speaking skills. Special attention was paid to how intercultural competence helps effectively present ideas at the international level.

The meeting was held in the format of an active dialogue, exchange of ideas, and constructive discussion of modern approaches to entrepreneurial communication.
