Within the framework of the Science Week at KNUTD, the team of the Polygon Student Scientific Club took part in the interactive scientific quest “Vectors of Science: The Path of Young Researchers”. The event combined teamwork, gamification and practical learning aimed at developing students’ information culture and research competencies.
Students from various educational programs joined the quest, including the Applied Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering programs. The teams completed tasks related to searching, analyzing, selecting and formatting scientific sources, working with electronic resources, the library catalogue and thematic quest stations.
The participation of the Polygon club team in this event is important for the comprehensive training of future engineers. Work with 3D models and engineering structures requires not only CAD/CAE/CAM skills, but also the ability to find reliable scientific and technical information, analyze it and use it correctly in research and project activities.
As a result of their participation, students received certificates and gained practical experience in teamwork, presenting their position and working with scientific information. This format complements the club’s practical classes and contributes to the development of students’ research potential.
