On March 24, 2026, the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design held a regular meeting of the scientific circle «Ukrainian Language in Professional Communication» on the topic «Modern Language Policy in Ukraine: Directions, Trends, Measures», with the aim of forming in applicants a holistic understanding of how the state regulates the use of languages and what impact this has on society. The leader of the circle is I. Ya. Dzyra, prof. Department of Philology and Translation, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences. The meeting was attended by students from groups BDo2–25, BDg3–25, and BDm2–25, who received information on how to correctly apply language legislation in professional activities, the service sector, and education; acquired skills in assessing the sociolinguistic situation, trends in Russification and decolonization, and also learned to distinguish real language problems from political manipulations and fakes.
Based on the results of the meeting, Sofia Konakhovych, a student of the Bdo2–25 group, is preparing a report «The Regulatory and Legal Framework for the Functioning of the Languages of the Indigenous Peoples of Ukraine in the Context of International Experience» for the XI International Scientific Conference «Dialogue of Cultures in the European Educational Space».
