On June 23, 2026, the final meeting of the scientific club of the Department of Economics of the KNUTD «SMART Ideas in Management, Economics and Business» (scientific supervisors: Doctor of Science in Economics, Prof., Polina PUZYROVA, PhD in Economics, Assoc. Prof., Olga BUNDA) was held, dedicated to the topical topic "Use of innovative business models in the international economy: experience of leading countries and opportunities for Ukraine."

During the meeting, the participants of the scientific club discussed current trends in the transformation of the international economy under the influence of digitalization, the development of artificial intelligence and global technological changes. Particular attention was paid to the analysis of successful practices of leading countries in the field of implementing innovative business models, in particular, digital platform models, ecosystem business and artificial intelligence technologies.

Participants reviewed the experience of the United States, the European Union, and other countries in creating a favorable environment for the development of innovative entrepreneurship and international business. Considerable attention was paid to the activities of technology companies that, thanks to innovative business models, were able to achieve high competitiveness in global markets.

During the discussion, the prospects for adapting world experience to Ukrainian realities were analyzed, in particular in the context of post-war economic recovery. Students discussed the possibilities of developing digital entrepreneurship, startup ecosystems, smart enterprises, platform solutions for business, and innovative approaches to organizing international economic activity. The importance of developing human capital, digital competencies, and an innovative culture as key factors for increasing Ukraine's competitiveness in the global economic space was emphasized.

The meeting was the result of the active work of the scientific circle during the 2025–2026 academic year. During the year, the circle's activities were aimed at studying modern trends in the development of the international economy, digital transformation of business and the formation of the foundations of the smart economy.
The participants of the circle considered the impact of digital technologies and artificial intelligence on the transformation of international economic relations, studied the economy as one of the key vectors of innovative growth in the global and national context, analyzed the features of the implementation of the circular economy and bioeconomy in the processes of green transition and the development of smart cities.
Considerable attention was paid to the study of trends and challenges in the development of the international economy in the context of global digitalization, international strategies for the development of smart enterprises and ensuring their competitiveness in global markets. The participants also studied the features of organizing and conducting international business in Ukraine and the world in the context of implementing global sustainable development goals, the role of transnational and national corporations in the development of the smart economy and accelerating the digitalization of business.
A separate block of research was devoted to finding ways to develop international business in the context of global digital changes and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. The results of the research were scientific articles, student projects, startup initiatives, and active participation of the circle members in scientific and practical conferences, competitions, and professional discussions.

The work of the student scientific club «SMART Ideas in Management, Economics and Business» has demonstrated a high level of interest among higher education students in the current problems of economic development, international business and digital transformations. Participation in the group's activities contributes to the formation of research competencies, the development of critical thinking, analytical work skills and the training of competitive specialists capable of working effectively in the digital economy and global challenges of today.
