The 2025–2026 academic year was a period of active and productive work for the participants of the student scientific group "Pharmacon". Under the scientific guidance of the Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Galyna KUZMINA, the group members (2nd-5th year students, as well as postgraduate students of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy) successfully combined the acquisition of new theoretical knowledge with research work in the laboratory (room 1-0223).
The program of the student scientific circle covered a wide range of topical issues of pharmaceutical analysis, drug technologies and innovative approaches to creating cosmetic products. Particular attention was paid to the comprehensive mastery of the technological stages of cosmetic production, which included the study of the principles of forming stable multicomponent systems, the selection and study of ingredient compatibility, as well as approaches to regulating the rheological and functional properties of finished compositions. During the work in the circle, applicants acquired practical skills in developing and optimizing cosmetic formulas taking into account the requirements of stability, efficiency and technological reproducibility.
A separate area of research for the group was the development of transdermal therapeutic systems. Students studied the physicochemical aspects of transdermal transfer, the mechanisms of diffusion of active pharmaceutical ingredients through skin barriers, as well as the basics of creating pharmaceutical compositions with controlled and prolonged release of active ingredients. The specified topic is consistent with the general scientific focus of the circle and is focused on the implementation of modern technological approaches in pharmaceutical practice.
The high level of scientific and methodological training of the circle participants during the academic year provided them with the opportunity to successfully test and present the results of their own research at scientific conferences. In particular, the results of the work were presented at the VIII All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “State and Prospects for the Development of the Chemical, Food, and Perfumery and Cosmetic Industries”, the International Internet Conference “Modern Chemistry of Medicines”, the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “KyivLvivPharma-2025. Pharmaceutical technology and pharmacology in ensuring active longevity”, as well as the XIII Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation of the School of Young Scientists of JSC “Farmak” “Science, Innovation and Quality in Modern Pharmaceutical Production”. Participation in these events provided students with the opportunity not only to present the results of their own research to the scientific community, but also to gain valuable experience in scientific communication.
In addition, based on the results of experimental research, four scientific articles were published in professional publications of Ukraine of category "B", which indicates the appropriate level of scientific training of the participants and the practical significance of the results obtained.
In general, the results of the work of the student research group during the 2025-2026 academic year proved its dynamic development, the growth of research competences of the participants and their readiness for further scientific and innovative activities.
