MEETING OF THE "SCIENTIFIC DEVELOPMENTS IN THE DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF FASHION INDUSTRY PRODUCTS" RESEARCH GROUP, DEPARTMENT OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY
On October 12, 2026, the Department of Fashion Technology’s research group, "Scientific Developments in the Design and Manufacture of Fashion Industry Products," held a meeting on the topic: "Creativity: Psychology and Stages of the Creative Process From Idea to Finished Product."

Associate Professor Antonina Babych, the head of the study group, introduced the members to classical concepts regarding creativity and psychology, as well as the stages of the creative process involved in translating a creative idea into pieces for a fashion industry capsule collection.

Antonina Babych presented an overview of the creative and scholarly achievements of the Department of Fashion Technology to the students, while Tymofii Lypskyi used his own experience to demonstrate how creativity evolves over time into a personal style, a life purpose, and a business.

During the study group meeting, Viktoriia Kernesh, an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology, joined students from group BIMd-26 to discuss the topic. Emphasis was placed on the importance of fostering creativity and innovation among students to help them achieve psychological freedom of thought and self-expression, as well as to develop their creative and scientific thinking and potential. The meeting aimed to explore the creative process—ranging from the initial spark of an idea based on the students' personal preferences and interests to sketching, material selection, and the actual creation of a fashion item or collection.
The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere. Participants shared their thoughts on utilizing both traditional and innovative technologies in the design process, as well as on the customization and styling of garments in line with current fashion trends.
