BRIGHT PERFORMANCE BY HONORARY DOCTOR OF KNUTD MICHAEL BRUNSKY AT THE GALA CONCERT IN DUBAI

On January 11, 2025, as part of the Chinese New Year festival in the United Arab Emirates, a grand gala concert was held at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. Among the invited stars was the Honored Artist of Ukraine, Honorary Doctor of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Michael Brunsky.

This time, Michael Valeriyovych impressed the 17,000-strong audience with his performance of the Chinese language song – “Big Fish & Begonia (REMIX) by Michael Brunsky,” demonstrating the depth of his unique tenor-alto voice, high professionalism, and stage skills. This event became special not only due to the spectacular nature of the festival but also because it is the third time that our singer has worthily represented Ukraine at such events in Dubai.

The Chinese New Year Festival in the UAE has long been one of the most anticipated cultural events in the region, bringing together Chinese cultural traditions, colourful shows and talented performers from around the world. The event in Dubai is a symbol of friendship and openness between cultures, and the performance of the Ukrainian artist once again emphasised the international status of our University and the important role of Ukrainian art in the global cultural space.

In 2023, Michael Brunsky became the first foreign guest in the nine years of the Fast Way gala concert at the Dubai Opera House, where he represented Ukraine and received positive feedback from honored guests and government officials. And in 2024, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UAE and the PRC, the Ukrainian folk song “Nichko tsikavaya” was performed for the first time on the main stage of the Middle East – the Dubai Opera House.

On behalf of the staff of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, we are incredibly proud to express our sincere gratitude for the success of our Honorary Doctor Michael Brunsky. We wish you new creative achievements, inspiration and opportunities for even greater representation of our University, Ukraine and Ukrainian culture at the world’s leading venues!
