The purpose of the scientific group: realization of the scientific and creative potential of the faculty's talented students in the field of general cosmetology.

Main tasks: organising research activities for creatively gifted youth; involvement of students in scientific conferences and seminars; activation of students in the public life of the faculty, university; providing students with theoretical knowledge of research methods for analysing skin condition and type; cosmetic imperfections of the skin and its appendages, cosmetic care products and methods; practical skills in substantiating and applying cosmetic products and cosmetic procedures depending on the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the skin and its appendages; development of formulations of new cosmetic products for skin and hair care; helping students who are inclined to scientific work to determine the objects of research and future topics of qualification works.

Research topics of the student group: rational care of the skin and its appendages with the use of cosmetics, biological effect of lipids on the skin, restoration of the lipid barrier of the skin and hair, vegetable oils, their composition and production, chemical enhancers in skin care products, emollients (fatty alcohols, hydrocarbons, synthetic esters, waxes).
