EXHIBITION "THE ART OF DESIGN AND GARMENT MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY" OF CREATIVE WORKS BY STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF DESIGN AND THE FACULTY OF ARTS AND FASHION, KNUTD

The exhibition center of KNUTD "Art Space" presents modern exclusive models of clothing collections of talented students and graduates of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion and the Faculty of Design of KNUTD, each of which reflects its own history and worldview, the authors' creative imagination and high level of skills.

The exhibition presents a wide range of aesthetically expressive clothing models and their collections of various silhouette, three-dimensional forms and style, color and graphic solutions made of textiles, fur, leather, etc. The students' creative works, made in material and with the use of digital technologies, impress with their color palette and detail, evoke a sense of sublimity, and delight with the expressiveness of unusual shapes, using successful Ukrainian and foreign artistic practices.

The exhibits bring the art of design and technology of garment manufacturing to a new level of consciousness, while preserving the national and world cultural and artistic heritage, emphasizing the environmental component, moral values, etc.

The exhibition "The Art of Design and Garment Manufacturing Technology" combines art, design, production innovations and becomes a platform for presenting the best achievements of young talents, winners of international competitions and participants of fashion shows on the world catwalks. The work of young designers combines the flavor and tonal sophistication of colors, ornamental motifs, patterns, and textures characteristic of Ukrainian culture and art with modern trends and innovative technologies.

KNUTD is a globally recognized leader in the training of specialists in design, modeling, construction, clothing technology and fashion industry products; the history of the formation of the University's scientific and artistic school in this field dates back to 1930. A wide range of modern educational programs of the Faculty of Design and the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, innovative teaching methods, experienced teachers, strong professional practical training ensure the education of capable, talented, creative professionals who are able to develop models and collections of clothing in different styles and techniques, decorated with various finishes, using non-traditional design techniques, fashion trends, based on various creative sources. KNUTD graduates, well-known Ukrainian designers, enhance the image of our country in the world, popularizing national culture at world fashion shows, exhibitions, forums and other presentation platforms, gaining worldwide recognition and glorifying our country.

Students of the Department of Art and Costume Design and the Department of Fashion and Style demonstrate their creativity and design talent by participating in exhibitions, creative competitions, festivals, and world catwalks, in particular, at the International Competition of Young Fashion Designers "Pecherski Kashtany" (Kyiv), the International Competition of One Image and New Year and Christmas Decor "Suziya “Kashtan" (Kyiv), the International Contest of Young Designers "Digital Fashion" (Kyiv), "New Fashion Zone" (Kyiv), "Fashion Dialogue" (Kyiv), they are participants of Ukrainian Fashion Week, KyivFashion, as well as shows in Paris, London, Milan, New York, Budapest, etc. The University's students also took part in international seminars led by the Ukrainian Fur Association - North American Fur Association (NAFA) - Canadian Fur Auction, Eurasia Fur Futures Ukraine (Kyiv).
