About the Labor and Career Center

The Labor and Career Center is a structural unit of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, whose task is to streamline the work on establishing cooperation with employers and facilitating the employment of students and graduates of the University. The unit was established in 2014 on the basis of the KNUTD Student Employment Department.

Since 2014, the Labor and Career Center was headed by Tetiana Izovit, PhD in Economics, President and Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Light Industry Enterprises Ukrlegprom.

In 2019, the head of the structural unit was Tetiana KULIK, Doctor of Technical Sciences.

Since 2022, the Center has been headed by Olga Chernysh, PhD in Economics.

The main task of the Center is to provide thousands of graduates, postgraduates and students of the University with various employment assistance, including temporary and seasonal employment. Employees of the unit establish contacts with potential employers to form a database of permanent and temporary vacancies, they organize and conduct training sessions, presentations, seminars, consultations, and workshops aimed at facilitating the employment of students. The unit continuously monitors the labor market, tracks its main trends and dynamics, and it is engaged in interregional and international cooperation.

Mission

The main goal of the unit is to facilitate the employment of KNUTD students and graduates and their adaptation to practical activities, increasing their competitiveness in the labor market; Establish and strengthen close ties and cooperation between business and education.

We offer

For students:

  • counseling on professional career planning: identifying ways and opportunities for employment, assistance in choosing a professional career path;
  • advising students and graduates on preparing their own CVs, motivation and cover letters, for interviewing, effective presentation of themselves in the labor market, etc;
  • providing objective information on current professions, demand for specialists in the labor market, and salary levels;
  • organizing and conducting discussions, lectures, thematic training sessions, master classes involving experts from leading organizations, potential employers, and specialists from Ukraine and abroad;
  • searching for additional courses in various areas to improve professional skills;
  • posting current vacancies on the pages of the Labor and Career Center, on Facebook and Telegram;
  • holding job fairs involving the most prestigious companies in the industry.

For employers:

  • the possibility of posting company vacancies on the KNUTD website and in social networks of various structural units of the University;
  • selection of students, in accordance with the requirements and needs of the enterprise, to take the offered job;
  • the opportunity to review the CVs of students and graduates of various specialties of the University;
  • participation in the Job Fair, which gives an opportunity to present your company to a large number of young professionals;
  • conducting master classes, lectures, and training sessions for students of relevant specialties in order to disseminate information about the company and attract promising personnel;
  • the possibility of involving University students in internships and training.

KNUTD graduates are highly valued both in the domestic and international labor market and have significant opportunities for self-realization and career development.
