MYKOLA OSYPCHUK. ART PROJECT "PAINTING. UNFAKED STORIES"

Mykola Osypchuk

Graduated from the Kyiv Art Institute (1987, O. Lopukhov's workshop). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

In 1989–2000, he taught at the Department of Painting of the Lviv Academy of Arts, and since 2001, he has been a lecturer at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

The artist works in the techniques of oil, gouache, tempera, acrylic, and aerosol painting with a mirror effect. His early works are three-dimensional compositions, which later transformed into planar decorative structures, where local spots and lines become the main means of artistic expression.

Since the early 1990s, the artist has been creating a series of paintings in which everyday subjects acquire a philosophical sound: they do not simply depict reality, but immerse in deep reflections on the nature of man, his place in the world, and the meaning of the spiritual dimension of existence.

Mykola Osypchuk's works are kept in private collections in Ukraine, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands and the USA, which indicates a steady interest in his work among both domestic and foreign art connoisseurs.

The exhibition "Unfictional Subjects" is a visual meditation, where the viewer is offered not only aesthetic immersion, but also a psycho-emotional dialogue with painting. Mykola Osypchuk's art is a territory of silence, color and humanity, which does not invent the world, but carefully looks into it.
